On a New Journey

It is a good day. I'm thankful for all of God's resources. I'm continuing to read Self Creation by Yvonne F. Brown. The words are inspiring me more and more today to continue to rediscover myself. I'm currently at chapter 11 reading about the 1459 plan. "For a minimum of 14 minutes and 59 seconds daily, read, memorize, and internalize the following five items... for your inspiration: W. Clement Stone's "17 Principles of Success," PMA -- Positive Mental Attitude, James J. Mae's "CVS to BVS," The R2A2 Principle, and Vision and Achievement." The 17 Principles of Success by W. Clement Stone include PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), The Definiteness of Purpose, Going the Extra Mile, Accurate Thinking, Self-discipline, The Master-Mind Alliance, Applied Faith, A Pleasing Personality, Personal Initiative, Enthusiasm, Controlled Attention, Teamwork, Learning from Defeat, Creative Vision, Budgeting Time and Money, Maintaining Sound Physical and Mental Health, and Cosmic Habit Force. I was intrigued by the words cosmic habit force and found this information on Google. "What is Cosmic Habit Force ? • You are where you are and what you are because of your established habits • Cosmic habit force is the law which makes every living creature, every particle of matter subject to the influence of its environment. It can work for you or against you. The choice is yours. • It works on thoughts and actions that are repeated- whether or not you are conscious of repeating those thoughts and actions. THINK & GROW RICH ACADEMY. Yvonne also mentioned W. Clement Stone's Thoughts to Steer By for another daily inspiration as part of the 1459 plan. Yvonne writes, "Meet the most important living person! That person is you." Be your own self-motivator. Keep working. Keep trying.

This morning, I have also caught up with the first video of an online bible study through Proverbs 31 ministries. It's Not Supposed to be This Way by Lysa TerKeurst seems like an inspiring book. I have ordered it after the online study began but I'm positive I will easily catch up once I receive it. Here are a few notes I jotted down from today's video: At the beginning of the bible, in Genesis, we have the story of the Garden of Eden. Then in the final book of the bible, we hear the story of the garden restored in Revelations. All of the events between the perfection of the garden are the "messy middle." We can get through the "messy middle" and we're not alone. Lysa states in the video, "God has given us himself to abide with and walk with. And He is the answer for those deep longings of our heart. We find unexpected strength in our walk with the Lord." I downloaded and studied the online bible study companion as well and I'm so inspired today to keep learning. Keep moving. Keep searching. Or as "Dory" from "Finding Nemo" says, "Just keep swimming." At the end of the study companion, the girls said a prayer that was spot on! "Thank You, Father, that in ALL things, I am MORE than a conqueror in Christ Jesus who loves me and died for me! Thank You that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor future, nor powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus my Lord. And all God’s girls said, Amen"

With all that I've been reading this morning, today's bible verse that stands out to me is from John 3:8 - New International Version (NIV) "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
